Member of Lockheed Martin Government Affairs (LMGA), providing an Eglin AFB, FL (primary) and Northwest Florida (secondary) presence in support of LMGA's Air Force & F-35 Mission Team.
The position will be physically located in Fort Walton Beach, FL and is primarily onsite with limited telework opportunities. The AE Pillar is a focal point for Lockheed Martin's (LM) interface with the Air Force's weapon systems acquisition community, with this position's focus being activity originating from Eglin AFB and the NWFL geographical area (External Customers). This position also actively supports program capture activity and execution commitments emanating from Lockheed Martin (LM) operating business areas/units and special projects from corporate headquarters (Internal Customers). The position requires: an understanding of US government acquisition; program execution experience; budgeting and requirements processes knowledge; familiarity with existing DoD, Joint and Air Force programs; and an ability to develop effective working relationships among both military organizations at Eglin AFB (and NWFL) and the co-located civilian community.

This is an on-site (4 days per week) position located at our Walton Beach, FL facility. This position is also on a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off, as business allows.

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Government, International Relations, Engineering, or related field) Minimum 7 years of recent experience in government affairs, business development, or a related field, with a focus on US government acquisition and program execution Demonstrated experience with the Air Force customer including Air Force Life Cycle Management Center and Air Force Research Lab. Strong understanding of US government acquisition processes, including budgeting and requirements Familiarity with existing DoD, Joint, and Air Force programs Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with military organizations, civilian communities, and internal stakeholders Specific expertise in one or more of the following areas: Cyber & networks Electronic systems Command, control, communication battle management Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills Final Secret security clearance
12+ years of experience in government affairs, business development, or a related field, with a focus on US government acquisition and program execution Experience working with the Air Force's weapon systems acquisition community Knowledge of Lockheed Martin's products and services, particularly in the areas of F-35 and Air Force programs Experience with program capture activity and execution commitments Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and tactically Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines Strong networking and relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to maintain and run a local office
This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Clearance Level: Secret

Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
