The Kitchen Supervisor responsibilities include supervising food prep and cooking, maintaining a fully stocked kitchen inventory and complying with safety and cleanliness standards, managing kitchen staff to deliver quality food on time and ensuring all plates are properly cooked and served so that guests have a pleasant dining experience./ppEssential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned./pulliAlways approaches all interactions with guests and employees in a friendly and service-oriented manner by maintaining a positive demeanor./liliPromotes a positive and caring work environment by addressing and resolving any conflict in a calm and poised manner./liliEngages and creates a positive experience for guests./liliSupervises all BOH positions, which includes assisting with scheduling, training, disciplining, and coaching employees./liliEnsures that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurants recipes, portioning, cooking, and serving standards./liliSupervises and coordinates activities of food preparation and purchases food and kitchen supplies./liliParticipates in planning menus, preparing, and apportioning foods, and utilizing food surpluses./liliKnowledge of a wide range of recipes./liliMonitors inventory levels and performs weekly inventory assessments./liliMaintains sanitation and safety standards ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations./liliHelps where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations./liliDemonstrates a thorough knowledge of food and beverage products, menus, and promotions./liliProvides guests with information about facilities, attractions, and activities in or outside the property./liliProjects a professional manner with an emphasis on hospitality and guest service./liliHandles guest complaints and solves problems to the degree possible./liliPerforms any other duties as assigned by management./li/ulpQualifications/pulliMust have a high school diploma or equivalent./liliMinimum 2 years of kitchen or restaurant experience required, hospitality industry preferred./liliAbility to interpret a variety of instructions provided in written, oral, or scheduled form./liliAbility to read, write, and speak effectively in English in order to communicate with guests and team members./liliKnowledge of reservation and POS systems./liliAbility to work with computers and good knowledge of operating software preferred./liliMust be able to multi-task and be detail oriented./liliMust be a team player./li/ulpInnisfree Hotels will invest in you, if you invest in you.
