Description:

Technical Product Manager I

Location: Remote
Contract: 6-Month W2 Contract
Pay Rate: $48-$54/hour
Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week)

Overview

We are supporting a well-known, high-growth consumer technology organization in the search for an early-career Technical Product Manager to support internal Finance and Accounting product initiatives. This role sits within a fast-paced, execution-driven environment and is ideal for a product manager who has foundational experience working in a technology company setting, ideally supporting e-commerce or high-transaction platforms.

While the primary focus of this role is within a Financial Remediation program, success requires the ability to flex between product-focused responsibilities and hands-on delivery execution. You will partner closely with a Group Product Manager, engineering teams, and finance stakeholders to ensure initiatives move forward efficiently, on time, and with clear accountability.

What You'll Do

  • Support the Group Product Manager in driving quarterly roadmaps for internal finance and accounting tools
  • Translate business and remediation goals into clear product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Own and help prioritize the product backlog, ensuring engineering teams are set up for successful execution
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Finance, Accounting, and Operations teams to support delivery timelines and remove blockers
  • Provide program and project management support to engineering teams, tracking milestones, dependencies, and delivery risks
  • Monitor progress against OKRs, timelines, and launch plans, ensuring transparency and accountability across teams
  • Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, backlog grooming, sprint planning, and retrospectives
What You Bring
  • 1-3 years of experience in Product Management, Associate Product Management, Technical Program Management, or a closely related role
  • Experience working within a technology-driven organization where speed, urgency, and execution are critical
  • Comfort operating in a fast-moving environment with evolving priorities and tight delivery timelines
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to inform product and delivery decisions
  • Clear communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, tools, and ceremonies (JIRA, Confluence, etc.)
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Foundational understanding of the product development lifecycle and backlog management
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting e-commerce platforms or high-transaction internal systems
  • Exposure to finance or accounting workflows (general ledger, financial reporting, billing, remediation, or controls)
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar
  • Ability to balance product discovery work with delivery execution and program coordination

Russell Tobin offers eligible employee's comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, and vision plans), supplemental coverage (accident insurance, critical illness insurance and hospital indemnity), 401(k)-retirement savings, life & disability insurance, an employee assistance program, legal support, auto, home insurance, pet insurance and employee discounts with preferred vendors.
