divh2Aircraft Mechanic II/h2pAs a member of the SOFGLSS Lockheed Martin Team supporting the warfighter, the Aircraft Mechanic II performs installation, adjustment, alignment, and troubleshooting for final operational and functional testing on major aircraft weapon systems, assemblies, and components for the C-130 aircraft. As an Aircraft Mechanic II, you will be responsible for:/pulliInspects, troubleshoots malfunctions, rigs, repairs, and modifies aircraft structures, structural components, and aircraft systems of moderate difficulty./liliMaintains and repairs aircraft components including but not limited to landing gear, flight surfaces and controls, anti-icing, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, ventilation, heating and cooling systems, and mechanical components./liliApplies technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems in determining equipment malfunctions./liliApplies required expertise in restoring equipment condition and or operation; applies comprehensive technical expertise to solve moderate to complex problems./liliReads and interprets manufacturers and airlines maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components./liliDuties may include requirements to adjust, repair, or replace electrical system wiring and aircraft accessories; perform preflight, thru-flight, and basic post-flight maintenance inspections, perform as Refuel/Defuel, Jack and Tow Team member/supervisor./liliIndividual may also be required to perform other miscellaneous aircraft servicing to include, but not limited to Lox, Hydraulic and Engine Oil, service aircraft tire and perform aircraft lubes./liliAbility to work at heights utilizing fall protection and work in confined spaces is a must. MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access and is in direct support of a U.S. government contract that requires a company-sponsored clearance to start./ppBasic Qualifications:/pulliMinimum of 6 years C-130 experience./liliThis mechanic must be proficient in the documentation of AFTO 781 forms, Integrated Maintenance Information System (IMIS), and Integrated Maintenance Data System (IMDS)./liliAbility to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
