A key responsibility of this role is supporting the Molina Marketplace ACA individual market pricing, forecasting, and accrual processes./ph3Essential Job Duties/h3ulliSupports the development of incurred but not reported (IBNR) estimates and rate adequacy studies, and documents assumptions./liliAnalyzes results to identify early signs of trends or other issues related to medical care costs./liliPerforms actuarial studies related to medical care costs and trends./liliGenerates and distributes routine reports to support IBNR calculations, pricing and financial reporting./liliExtracts and compiles information from various systems to support executive decision-making./liliSupports the development of reports and analysis for senior leadership, and effectively communicates results./li/ulh3Required Qualifications/h3ulliUp to 1 year of actuarial experience, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience./liliAt least 1 passing Society of Actuaries (SOA) exam./liliBachelors degree in actuarial, mathematics, statistics, economics or related field./liliAdvanced understanding of statistics/predictive analytics./liliDemonstrated problem-solving skills./liliStrong critical-thinking and attention to detail./liliAbility to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders./liliStrong time-management skills, and ability to manage simultaneous projects and tasks to meet internal deadlines./liliEffective verbal and written communication skills./liliProficient in Microsoft Office suite products, including key skills in Excel (VLOOKUPs and pivot tables), and applicable software program(s) proficiency./li/ulh3Preferred Qualifications/h3ulliActuarial internship/li/ulpTo all current Molina employees: If you are interested in applying for this position, please apply through the Internal Job Board./ppMolina Healthcare offers a competitive benefits and compensation package.
