Job Description
AE Systems is seeking a Quality Inspector, supporting operations in Fort Walton Beach, FL.
Responsibilities include:
Use various measuring devices and testing equipment
Accept, reject, or rework defective or malfunctioning units or systems
Work from blueprints, diagrams, customer, regulatory and BAE specifications, drawings or inspection instructions and checklists.
Provide feedback in a professional manner to operators pertaining to inspection results
Use predetermined methods, operations, setups and prescribed specifications to visually inspect in-process and completed machined and assembled products such as precision electromechanical assemblies or mechanical units, subassemblies, structural flaws, internal defects, and missing welds.
Use various measuring devices and testing equipment.
Accept, reject, or rework defective or malfunctioning units or systems.
Work from blueprints, diagrams, dial indicators, preset micrometers, scales, fixtures, CMM/Romer Arm, customer, regulatory and BAE specifications, drawing or inspection instructions and checklists.
May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
Perform line clearances after each lot to ensure all materials from the previous lot have been removed.
Receiving Inspection of raw material, Special Processes and vendor supplied detail parts and mechanical assemblies
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
High school diploma and 6 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
In depth understanding of inspection tools
In depth analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to interpret data
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods
Experience inspecting Aircraft mechanical parts
Proficient with MS Office Suite
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Familiarity with quality control standards, such as ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar
Experience with statistical process control, lean manufacturing, or six sigma methodologies
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $52955 - $84728
