Job Description:
The Coordinator - Kay Litke Greenhouse is a part time position responsible for providing high-quality management operations of the Kay Litke Greenhouse. This role supports hydroponic food production and greenhouse operations for Culinary Academics.
The Coordinator - Kay Litke Greenhouse is directly accountable to the Associate Director, Workforce Education for the below listed duties and responsibilities.
* Oversee operations for the Culinary Academics needs of the hydroponic greenhouse, including crop care, system monitoring, nutrient management, and environmental controls.
* Manage production schedules, maintain equipment, and ensure optimal plant growth while adhering to safety and sustainability standards.
* Oversee the maintenance, organization, and safe operation of hydroponic systems, and greenhouse facilities.
* Collaborate with administration, faculty, and staff to ensure greenhouse success.
* Engage in institutional service, professional development, and other duties as assigned by the Director of Business, Hospitality & Management and Dean of the Department
* As a part of the College's risk management tool annual mandatory compliance training is required
* Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
* Associate degree with 2-4 years' relevant work experience, or Bachelor's degree plus 1-3 years' relevant work experience. Trade certifications or professional licensure may also be acceptable.
