Job Details

The Airship Crew works under the direction of the Manager, Ground Crew Operations to ensure safe and efficient airship operations. Responsibilities include launching and retrieving the airship, performing helium/air pressure watches (including overnight shifts), and driving ground service equipment such as buses, semi-trucks, mast trucks, and trailers. Crew members assist mechanics and technicians with daily maintenance tasks and uphold professional public relations by representing Goodyear positively.

What You'll Do

• Work with the ground crew to safely launch and retrieve the airship as required.
• Maintain a safe moored condition for the airship and ground service equipment, including security, trim, pressure, ballasting, and cleanliness.
• Perform scheduled helium/air pressure watches in rotation with coworkers, including overnight shifts.
• Assist in the safe handling of the airship and its passengers; drive necessary equipment such as buses, semi-trucks, mast trucks, vans, pickups, and truck/trailer combinations.
• Support Airship Mechanics, Ground Support Maintenance Mechanics, and Technicians with daily tasks as needed.
• Provide a positive public image for Goodyear Airship Operations to the general public, media outlets, and customers; represent the company professionally.
• Perform janitorial duties as directed by the Manager Ground Crew Operations or Senior Ground Handler.

What We're Looking For

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Driver's license

What Will Set You Apart

• Previous Aviation experience.
• Commercial driving experience.
• Ability to work at elevated heights.
• Ability to lift 75+ lbs regularly.
• Ability to obtain a CDL within 180 days.
• Ability to obtain and pass Department of Transportation (DOT) physical within 90 days.
