Role Summary
The BOH Shift Leader is responsible for leading kitchen operations during assigned shifts. This includes supporting team members, maintaining food safety and quality standards, and ensuring smooth, efficient operations. This leader sets the tone for teamwork, pace, and professionalism in the kitchen.
Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Support
* Lead, coach, and support BOH team members during shifts
* Model Chick-fil-A's core values and create a positive, encouraging work environment
* Communicate clearly with FOH leadership to ensure smooth coordination
Operational Excellence
* Execute kitchen operations at a high level of speed and accuracy
* Ensure food safety protocols are strictly followed
* Maintain cleanliness, organization, and stocking throughout the shift
* Monitor kitchen pace and adjust roles as needed
Quality & Safety
* Ensure all products meet Chick-fil-A quality standards
* Maintain accurate holding times, waste tracking, and product rotation
* Support training and onboarding for new BOH team members
Administrative
* Assist with shift documentation, inventory counts, and equipment checks
* Ensure breaks are taken properly and team members stay within labor guidelines
Qualifications
* Previous Chick-fil-A or quick-service experience preferred
* Leadership or trainer experience strongly preferred
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills
* Consistent and dependable work habits
* Must be 18+
