Aircraft Inspector III

Description:

As an Aircraft Inspector III, you will inspect aircraft, aircraft systems, equipment, and parts to ensure airworthiness and conformance to manufacturer specifications and government regulations. Your responsibilities include identifying any breach of airworthiness standards and performing in?process inspections, final inspections of minor work (non?337), and approving the return to service of minor work.

The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation. It is a prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for high?performance ISR and aviation systems, providing end?to?end C4ISR capabilities that encompass design, integration, test, certification, training, and logistics support.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent and typically 5 or more years of relevant experience.
  • A higher level degree may substitute for experience.
  • Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education.
  • Active, current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification.
  • Thorough knowledge of aircraft, aircraft systems, equipment, and parts.
  • Understanding and experience with product audit and inspection processes and procedures.
  • Basic Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).

Qualifications We Prefer
  • Basic understanding of 14 CFR Chapter 1.
  • Understanding of civil or government aviation inspection operations and/or FAA Repair Station operations.
  • Inspection Authorization (IA) designation.
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the U.S. Department of Defense, or U.S. Military.
