SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
None
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by government standards
Ability to interact effectively with peers and supervisors
Ability to interact appropriately with the public when necessary
Ability to adhere to workplace rules
Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally
Ability to operate a handtruck and other shipping and receiving tools
Ability to read and interpret shipping documents and invoices
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
HS diploma or equivalent
A minimum of 2 years of experience in shipping and receiving
Experience with packaging/preservation IAW MIL-STD2073 and ASTM3951
Experience with package marking IAW MIL-STD-129
WORK ENVIROMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Office and production environment
Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time
Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, phone, and small hand tools)
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:
Prepare and perform shipping and receiving tasks and maintain all related records.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Assure safety and health practices are observed in all operations
- Receive and inspect material in accordance with Company procedures
- Enter and edit receiving information in automated computerized system
- Inspect, prepare, package product and generate shippers for distribution
- Maintain database for shipping actions
- Generate and maintain file maintenance for shipped goods
- Generate repair item routers for returned items
- Must have a valid driver's license and good driving history
- Must be at assigned worksite during assigned hours 100% of time; less PTO, FML/STD/LTD
- Read and interpret shipping documents and invoices
- Other duties may be assigned
