The Doolittle Institute, an AFRL Innovation Institute, supports the Air Force Research Laboratory by working to identify and foster new R&D partnerships, develop AFRL's future and current workforce, enable rapid technology delivery to the warfighter, and license and commercialize AFRL technologies in the private sector. JOB SUMMARY

The Doolittle Institute is seeking a courteous, friendly, and professional Receptionist to serve as the welcoming face and voice of our 19,000 SF high-tech facility in Niceville, Florida. This is a part-time, temporary position expected to last 4 to 6 months, with potential extension contingent upon performance and budgetary considerations. This position requires on-site availability Monday through Friday. The ideal candidate will provide front desk support, assist visitors, and help maintain smooth daily operations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Greet customers and visitors in person and on the phone.
  • Open and close the facility as needed.
  • Direct on-site customers to meeting rooms and provide information about local restaurants and hotels.
  • Take, screen, and forward calls and messages professionally.
  • Replenish snacks and beverages in the kitchen area as needed.
  • Report facility issues to appropriate personnel for cleaning, maintenance, or repair when notified by customers.
  • Enforce security policies subtly while maintaining a welcoming environment.
  • Stand, sit, and assist with office and meeting room furniture adjustments, including lifting up to 40 pounds.
  • Complete additional tasks assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalent, plus 1-3 years of experience in a relevant role.
  • Strong customer service, organizational, written, and verbal communication abilities.
  • Must have sufficient scheduling flexibility for opening and closing shifts.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, multi-line phone systems, audio/visual equipment support, and basic IT troubleshooting.
  • Ability to successfully obtain and maintain a security clearance or successfully obtain and maintain ITAR license
  • Must not have any conflicts of interest affecting DWX or its partners
  • Ability to pass a background check
