Interim Accounting Manager

This role will oversee accounting and financial reporting operations and report directly to the Controller in a stable and expanding organization.

• Oversee and manage all aspects of accounting, including financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts.
• Lead the month-end close process, including journal entries, detailed analyses, and account reconciliations.
• As the Accounting Manager, create, implement, and monitor internal controls and process improvements.
• Assist in developing and reviewing operating budgets and performance forecasts.
• Oversee accounts payable (AP), purchasing, and treasury functions, ensuring the completion of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Develop and implement quality control processes to ensure financial data and reporting reliability.
• Work closely with leadership to support strategic financial goals and initiatives.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA certification or progress toward CPA preferred.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience working with or within audit firms, with a strong understanding of audit processes.
• Proven ability to lead a team and foster a collaborative and supportive work environment.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, essential for a successful Interim Accounting Manager.
