Job Title: MEDICAL RESEARCH MANAGER/BATTLEFIELD TRAUMA CARE (BTC) MEDICAL ANALYST (MEDICAL SCIENTIST)

Duties:
Provide subject matter expertise to SG staff to assist in fielding decisions of blood products and other medical capabilities in the most safe, secure and efficient manner.
•Provide analysis support for medical and healthcare engagement strategies and optimization efforts related to medical operations/missions; assist AFSOC/SG staff with identification of deficiencies, capabilities and potential technological solutions that could improve the medical response/support capabilities for worldwide healthcare delivery to include preventative medicine, diagnostics, environmental health, base operating support and en-route patient care.
•Assist AFSOC/SG staff in the development of policies, processes, and prioritization of medical research and material development.
•Maintain files of all battlefield trauma care and operational medicine support initiatives and research papers of interest to AFSOC/SG, to include blood program specific requirements and provide copies and associated reports upon request.
Requirements:
•Must have a minimum of eight (8) years of medical or clinical laboratory related managerial level experience in logistically unsupported locations (i.e. deployed location, field conditions, prolonged field care). Military medical experience background preferred.
•Must have managerial experience with a minimum of four (4) years in clinical oversight, planning and accomplishing projects, and basic program management skills.
•Experience in physiological, cellular and chemical characteristics of blood and other potential human biomarkers to assist AFSOC/SG staff in evaluating medical research related to trauma and other battlefield medical concerns such as diagnostics and detection. Contractor personnel shall have working experience with Blood Donation Programs to include temperature controls, documentation, storage, shipping and receiving of blood products is desired.
•Master's Degree required.
Other Essential Job Functions: Experience with Armed Services Blood Programs preferred.
