Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Apply knowledge of quality policies, governmental regulations, and engineering principles to develop, document, and maintain quality systems, operating procedures, and long-range customer inspection plans.
  • Develop and administer directives, policies, processes, and procedures to ensure compliance with contractual, company, and regulatory requirements, thereby assuring quality system compliance.
  • Conduct configuration audits and reviews of products, tools, and processes, and compile, measure, and analyze process capability data to perform trend analyses and risk assessments.
  • Utilize process improvement methodologies, such as root cause analysis, to plan and coordinate process improvements and ensure sequenced inspection control points, creating and maintaining inspection accountability systems.
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement preventative measures, corrective actions, procedural changes, and process improvements, and present resultant findings.
  • Provide education and coaching on the Quality Management System and Manufacturing Verification Process.
  • Other duties as identified and assigned.


Qualifications

Required Education and Experience
  • Must be a US citizen.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a quality discipline, preferably in inspection, aerospace, or manufacturing.
  • High School Diploma or GED.

Preferred Skills
  • Proficiency in defect identification, non-conformance data analysis, and thorough documentation skills.
  • Knowledge of Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) methodologies, including 8D and/or 5Why.
  • Familiarity with various inspection methodologies.
  • Training in Project Management and Six Sigma methodologies, along with certification or training in AS9100 and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Applications to include Excel.

Security Responsibilities
  • Eligible and obtain (if required) a DoD Personnel Security Clearance.
  • Eligible and obtain Secret Clearance.
  • Must comply with all company Information Systems security policies and procedures.

Language Skills

Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret the complex word and technical documents/diagrams.

Must be able to effectively communicate orally and in writing and work effectively as part of a team.

Reasoning Ability and Mathematical Skills

Must be able to analyze problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. An ability to interpret complex customer requirements and attitudes from verbal, non-verbal, and written communication is desirable. Must be able to calculate figures and numbers, and percentages and be able to draw and interpret graphs. Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and drawings.

  • Will be working in areas with risk of injury from electrical applications, moving mechanical parts, hydraulic, or pneumatic systems under pressure and electrical motion systems.
  • May be exposed to conditions of extreme heat, airborne particles, and loud noises.
